Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing an established and growing property consultancy that is looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner to join its successful Northampton team. This is an outstanding opportunity to receive first-class mentoring, gain exposure to a wide variety of planning projects, and build a long-term career towards MRTPI status.
The Opportunity
You'll become part of a collaborative planning team working alongside experienced planners, surveyors, architects and other property professionals. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of projects across the residential, commercial and rural sectors, giving you the chance to develop a well-rounded planning career from day one. The consultancy places a strong emphasis on professional development and has an excellent track record of supporting graduates through their RTPI pathway.
Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
Supporting senior planners on a diverse range of planning projects.
Undertaking planning policy research and site appraisals.
Preparing planning statements and supporting reports.
Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and external consultants.
Attending client meetings and site visits.
Assisting with planning appeals and wider development projects.
About You
RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and research abilities.
A genuine passion for planning and the built environment.
Organised, proactive and eager to learn.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
