Our client is a leading provider of bespoke power generation and standby power solutions across the UK. Due to winning a major new contract, they are looking to recruit a Project Manager with experience in the power generation or diesel generator (genset) industry. This is a primarily office-based role in Northampton with occasional site visits, where business mileage is paid.
Overview
Manage generator installation projects from order through to completion
Coordinate engineering, procurement, production and installation teams
Act as the main point of contact for customers
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification
Monitor project costs and progress
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and commissioning engineers
Produce project documentation and reports
Support commissioning and final project handover
Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained
Occasional UK site visits when required
Requirements
Project Management experience within power generation or diesel generators
Good knowledge of generator installations and standby power systems
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience managing project budgets and timelines
Commercial awareness
Knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience with Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, FG Wilson, MTU, Kohler or similar generators is advantageous
PRINCE2, APM or similar qualification desirable
Salary & Benefits
£40,000 - £45,000 DOE (higher for the right candidate)
40-hour working week
Primarily office-based in Northampton
Business mileage paid for site visits
