The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs and delivers the EQUALS Semi-Formal Curriculum, providing personalised learning focused on communication, independence, emotional development and essential life skills.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons using the EQUALS Semi-Formal Curriculum.
Develop personalised learning opportunities based on pupils’ individual needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes.
Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, SLD, communication difficulties and complex needs.
Promote pupils’ communication, independence, emotional regulation and life skills.
Create a safe, nurturing and sensory-aware learning environment.
Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, families and external professionals.
Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent, individualised approaches.
Maintain high expectations while recognising and celebrating each pupil’s individual progress.
Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN in a specialist provision or SEN school.
Experience delivering the EQUALS Semi-Formal Curriculum, or a strong understanding of personalised and developmental learning approaches.
Strong knowledge of ASC, SLD, communication difficulties and complex needs.
Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
A patient, resilient and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
A genuine commitment to inclusion, pupil development and safeguarding.
