Maintenance & Carpentry Lecturer
Location: Bromley
Salary: £33,762- £44,027 DOE
Hours: Full Time
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Carpentry Lecturer to support apprentices throughout their learning journey, from enrolment through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industry professional to combine their practical expertise with teaching, coaching and mentoring, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for career success.
The Role
Working with apprentices, employers and curriculum teams, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment across apprenticeship programmes while ensuring learners remain on track to achieve timely success.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging learning and assessment activities.
* Coach and mentor apprentices towards EPA readiness.
* Carry out initial assessments and learner enrolment processes.
* Develop individual learning plans and monitor progress.
* Conduct assessments in the workplace, on site and remotely.
* Provide constructive feedback and identify development needs.
* Support learners in recording on and off-the-job training.
* Build strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
* Conduct regular progress reviews and gateway discussions.
* Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and compliance requirements.
* Attend standardisation, quality assurance and CPD activities.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, health and safety.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Level 3 qualification in Carpentry, Maintenance or a related trade.
* Minimum five years' industry experience.
* Strong practical and technical knowledge within the sector.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve.
* Level 2 English and Maths or willingness to work towards.
Desirable
* A1, D32/D33 or TAQA Assessor qualification.
* Teaching qualification (PTLLS or equivalent).
* Coaching or mentoring qualification.
* Experience working with apprentices.
