Quality Engineer (ISO 9001:2015)
£40,000 | Sutton Coldfield | Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Sutton Coldfield.
The company designs and manufactures specialist engineered products supplied worldwide, operating within a quality-critical environment where precision, reliability and traceability are essential.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, supporting audits, resolving quality issues and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
• Manage non-conformances, customer complaints and corrective actions.
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Maintain quality documentation and procedures.
• Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Use inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and shadowgraphs.
• Support production, engineering, suppliers and customers on quality matters.
Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Engineer role within manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• Experience with audits, quality systems and corrective actions.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection equipment.
• Practical problem-solving approach with good communication skills.
