Housing Officer
Our client, a well-established business in Plymouth, is looking to recruit a Housing Officer to manage a portfolio of tenancies and help deliver a high-quality housing management service.
This is a varied role that involves supporting residents, managing tenancies, addressing anti-social behaviour, and working closely with communities to ensure residents can sustain their tenancies and enjoy safe, thriving neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a patch of residential properties and act as the main point of contact for residents.
* Conduct tenancy visits, estate inspections, and neighbourhood walkabouts.
* Support new tenancy sign-ups and tenancy sustainment activities.
* Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour cases.
* Manage tenancy breaches and enforce tenancy conditions where required.
* Work with residents to resolve issues relating to rent, property management, and community wellbeing.
* Liaise with internal teams, local authorities, and support agencies.
* Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals.
* Maintain accurate records and case notes using housing management systems.
* Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with residents.
Requirements
* Previous experience in housing management, tenancy management, customer service, or a similar role.
* Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management practices is desirable.
* Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
* Good IT and administrative skills.
* Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour cases would be advantageous.
