Redline has been retained by a global leader in critical power and power generation solutions who are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their expanding Service team.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand, our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to carry out the servicing, repair, upgrading and commissioning of critical power systems across customer sites worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering business working on highly technical equipment within mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities for this Field Service Engineer role based in Staffordshire:

Carry out the servicing, maintenance, repair and upgrading of critical power systems at customer sites across the UK and internationally, as well as within the Burton upon Trent service workshop.
Perform electrical inspection, fault finding and testing, including insulation resistance testing, live electrical load testing and recording electrical measurements.
Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams to diagnose faults and ensure all associated wiring and protective devices comply with current electrical regulations.
Commission new critical power equipment on customer sites worldwide and provide technical support to customers remotely to resolve urgent breakdowns.
Produce detailed electronic service reports, assist with product development activities and support other departments with the testing of new production and rental equipment when required.

Key skills and experience required for this Field Service Engineer role based in Burton upon Trent:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
18th Edition(BS7671) Electrical Wiring Regulations.
ECS Skills Card in an associated electrical discipline would be advantageous.
Experience carrying out electrical inspection, testing and fault finding on industrial electrical equipment.
Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel internationally as required.

Our client will also consider engineers who may not meet every requirement but are looking to develop their skills within a specialist critical power engineering environment.

Package:

£21.00 per hour (approximately £45,000 basic salary based on a 40-hour week)

Overtime paid at enhanced rates:

Weekdays: x1.5 after 8 hours (up to 14 hours), x2 thereafter

Saturdays: x1.5

Sundays: x2

22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (25 days less Christmas shutdown)
