Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting experienced Oxy Propane Burners to join a well-established demolition contractor working on a long-term project in Port Talbot.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Oxy Fuel Cutters, Burning Operatives, or Demolition Operatives looking for long-term work with overtime opportunities.
Key Duties
Carry out oxy-propane cutting of scrap metal safely and efficiently.
Cut and process steel and other metals in line with project requirements.
Operate oxy-propane cutting equipment in accordance with site procedures.
Follow all health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
Maintain equipment and report any defects or safety concerns.
Support the demolition team with general site duties when required.
Requirements
Proven experience cutting scrap metal using an oxy-propane torch.
Oxy-Propane Cutting Certificate, NVQ Level 2 Welding, or equivalent qualification (required for CIS payment).
Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (or willingness to obtain).
Previous experience within demolition, scrap, recycling, or heavy industrial environments.
Good level of physical fitness due to the manual nature of the role.
Full UK driving licence.
Reliable with a strong commitment to health and safety.
What We Offer
£14.50 per hour PAYE.
£18.50 per hour CIS (for suitably qualified candidates).
Minimum 3-month contract with the potential for a longer-term assignment.
Monday to Friday working pattern.
52.5 hours per week.
Weekend overtime available when required.
Ongoing support from Acorn by Synergie throughout your assignment.
