Junior Home Automation Installer
London & Home Counties
£25,000 to £32,000 + Training + Career Progression + Benefits
The Opportunity
We're working with an established and highly regarded smart home integration company that delivers luxury residential projects across London and the Home Counties.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to recruit a Junior Home Automation Installer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some hands on electrical, AV, security or cabling experience who wants to build a long term career within the residential smart home industry. You'll receive ongoing training while working alongside experienced engineers on some of the UK's most impressive homes.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced installation team, you'll assist with the installation and commissioning of premium smart home technology including:
Structured cabling and first fix installations
Second fix of AV and home automation equipment
TV installation, wall mounting and audio systems
Rack building, termination and cable management
Home networking and WiFi infrastructure
Lighting control and intelligent home systems
Assisting with Lutron and Control4 installations
Supporting service visits and fault finding
As your skills develop, you'll take on more responsibility and progress towards becoming a fully qualified Smart Home Engineer.
About You
We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including:
Residential or commercial AV
Electrical installation
Security systems
Data cabling
Electrical improver or electrician's mate
Networking or structured cabling
You'll ideally have:
Some practical installation experience
Good hand tool skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Pride in producing quality work
Good communication skills
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
