This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone looking to grow within a business that values self-improvement, collaboration, and looking for long-term career growth and development.
This opportunity is offering £33-38,000 depending on experience and will be fully office-based in Lymington.
Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Role responsibilities of the Buyer include:
Raise and manage purchase orders using the ERP system to ensure the timely supply of materials for production.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards.
Maintain accurate procurement data, monitor inventory levels, and support demand planning to optimise stock availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Warehouse and Planning to support business objectives and resolve supply issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting procurement strategies, supplier performance reviews, and operational excellence across the purchasing function.Person Specification of the Buyer:
Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement or Buyer role within a manufacturing (ideally mechanical) background.
Organised and results-driven, with experience using MRP/ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed purchasing decisions.
Confident in dealing with all levels of people in a professional manner.
Driven and motivated individual with a desire to progress.
