Behaviour Mentor - Waltham Forest - £95 to £115 Daily Rate - Full Time - September Start - Primary School

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest. This full-time role is available for a September start and offers a competitive daily rate of £95 to £115, depending on experience.

Do you have experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting?
Do you have experience supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, or SEMH?
Are you confident managing challenging behaviour and using effective de-escalation strategies?

The Role - Behaviour Mentor
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional, and social support. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning and engage positively within the classroom.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small group support, implement behaviour management strategies, and work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will encourage positive behaviour, promote emotional regulation, and build trusting relationships that help pupils develop confidence and independence.

Strong behaviour management skills, patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this role.
