Logistics Coordinator

Location: Horsham (Langhurstwood Road)

Pay Rate: £15.86 per hour (Salary Equivalent: ~£32,000 per annum)

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (08:30 - 17:00)

Hours: 38.75 hours per week

Contract: 6-Month Contract (Overtime Available)

About the Role

We are seeking four Logistics Coordinators to join a global life sciences organization based in Horsham.

Working under the direction of the Logistics Team Leader, you will work closely with internal teams, external clients, and couriers to manage import and export operations for critical clinical trial products, ensuring delivery is fit for purpose, compliant, on time, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Export Operations: Review shipping documentation, provide clearance instructions to customs for incoming goods, and raise all necessary export documentation.

Shipment Management: Accurately log shipment details into courier ERP systems to coordinate seamless collections and deliveries.

Compliance & Documentation: Maintain order documentation in accordance with regulatory, study, and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status standards.

Licensing & Documentation: Apply for Certificates of Origin via Local Chambers of Commerce and raise Controlled Drug License applications with relevant government departments.

Courier & Client Liaison: Proactively resolve client queries, track pro-forma invoices for approval, and liaise daily with couriers to source optimal shipping solutions.

GMP Compliance: Apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards across all operational duties to hit Right-First-Time (RFT) and On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) metrics.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

Experience: Proven administrative or operational background, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or courier coordination.

IT Literacy: Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel) and quick to learn automated electronic/ERP systems.

Skills: Excellent communication, numerical skills, high attention to detail, and strong organizational capabilities.

Workplace Style: Self-starter capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Desirable Criteria:

Prior experience working within a GMP/cGMP or regulated pharmaceutical facility.

Knowledge of import/export compliance, customs clearance, or controlled drug licensing
