Quality Assurance & Health & Safety Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance & Health & Safety Manager to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality-driven professional with experience in manufacturing or regulated industries who is looking to take ownership of quality systems, compliance, and health & safety processes within a busy production environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the business, ensuring products meet customer expectations while driving improvements in quality, safety, and operational performance.

The Role

As Quality Assurance & Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and supporting the development of a strong health & safety culture.

Working closely with production teams and management, you will monitor standards, investigate issues, implement improvements, and ensure the business remains compliant with customer requirements and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

✓ Manage day-to-day quality assurance processes across the manufacturing operation.
✓ Carry out product inspections, audits, and quality checks, recording findings accurately.
✓ Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
✓ Ensure products meet customer specifications, internal standards, and industry regulations.
✓ Maintain quality documentation and support internal and external audits.
✓ Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout production.
✓ Monitor health & safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
✓ Ensure employees follow company procedures, policies, and legislative requirements.
✓ Support risk assessments, investigations, and improvements to working practices.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience working within a manufacturing, packaging, food, healthcare, or other regulated environment.

Experience within packaging would be highly advantageous, alongside knowledge of recognised industry standards such as:

✓ BRCGS
✓ PEFC
✓ FSC

You will be organised, detail-focused, and confident working with colleagues at all levels. A proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence positive change are essential.
