Site Manager – Electrical & Fire Systems
Location: Bristol (Contract)
Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Van + Fuel Card
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Electrical & Fire Systems team, overseeing projects across the Bristol area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, you will play a key role in coordinating the installation of electrical and fire protection systems while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
*
* Manage day-to-day site operations for electrical and fire system installation projects.
* Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.
* Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project specifications, programme, and quality standards.
* Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
* Conduct site inspections and maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
* Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
* Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits to work, and daily site records.
* Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and maintain programme delivery.
Essential Requirements
*
* Previous experience as a Site Manager within the electrical contracting or fire protection industry.
* Good understanding of electrical and fire systems installation.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* First Aid at Work Certificate.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to manage digital site documentation.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Requirements
Electrical or related construction trade background.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors on commercial projects.
Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
ECS or CSCS Card.
