About the Role

In this role, you will work as a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor, providing dedicated support to a pupil who requires additional help managing their behaviour and emotions within the classroom environment.

A key part of this position involves supporting a child with social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and develop effective coping strategies.

You will:

Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
Implement behaviour plans and follow agreed strategies
Help the pupil regulate emotions and manage challenging behaviour
Encourage positive interactions with peers and staff
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staffThis role would suit someone calm, resilient, and confident, with a genuine commitment to supporting children to overcome barriers to learning. Experience working with children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
