About the Role:
We are currently recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join a well-established secondary school in Colne from September 2026. With multiple positions available, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time, long-term role in a supportive and dynamic educational environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to raise attainment and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide classroom support across a range of subjects
Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who require additional support
Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs (where required)
Monitor and report on student progress and engagement
Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working within a secondary school setting is desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
