Claims Handler - Insurance
Central Bristol | Hybrid (3 office / 2 home)
£26,000 + up to 20% bonus + benefits
Full-time | Mon–Fri (35 hours, flexibility between 8am–6pm)
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join a well-established insurance team in Bristol.
You’ll manage insurance claims end-to-end, ensuring fair, accurate and compliant outcomes in line with FCA regulations and internal policies.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong claims experience and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement
Assess claims and make decisions in line with policy terms and FCA guidelines
Communicate with customers throughout the claims process, providing clear updates
Handle queries and complaints through to resolution
Maintain accurate and detailed case records
Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a claims handling or claims assessor role (essential)
Strong understanding of insurance claims processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
Strong decision-making skills and a customer-focused approach
