Join Northwood as Engineering Technician (Electrically biased) and play an integral role in troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
From managing spare parts and purchasing systems, to conducting criticality and obsolescence assessments, your attention to detail will help streamline operations and support continuous improvement (CI).
To further support CI, you will use improvement tools such as 5S, TPM and Asset Management. We'll also rely on you to prepare weekly/monthly performance reports.
The environment: This unique opportunity is based at our Lancaster site which is home to a Paper Mill and Converting facility, and advanced machinery requiring your expert intervention to maintain reliability.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (30 min break)
This role includes call-outs (1 in 5 weeks), entitling you to an on-call retainer + mileage paid.

Commissioning new projects
Utilising planning tools and CMMS systems to organise weekly tasks and improvement projects.
Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of all maintenance activities.

NVQ Level 4/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent)
18th Edition Electrical Qualification, or alternatively, completion of a time-served apprenticeship
