Our client is a well-established main dealership in Shrewsbury and is looking for an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join their busy Service Department. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a competitive basic salary, bonus scheme, manufacturer brand training and accreditation, and genuine career progression within a successful main dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and specialist diagnostic equipment.
Identify and rectify complex electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults efficiently and accurately.
Undertake servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles to the highest standard.
Complete repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods, times, and company procedures.
Support fellow technicians with technical guidance and complex fault diagnosis where required.
Accurately complete diagnostic reports, vehicle health checks, and repair documentation.
Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer and dealership standards.
Liaise professionally with Service Advisors and customers to explain technical findings when required.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
At least 3 years' post-qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician within a main dealership or similar workshop environment.
Strong diagnostic, electrical, and fault-finding skills.
Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
Excellent technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to producing high-quality work.
