Electrical Engineer - Permanent Opportunity

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next challenge within the public sector?

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a busy Building Services & Maintenance team, delivering safe, compliant, and sustainable electrical engineering solutions across a diverse property portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of modern, low-carbon electrical systems while ensuring statutory compliance and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review electrical engineering solutions across a varied property portfolio.

Produce feasibility studies, condition surveys, technical reports, and specifications.

Prepare and manage CAD drawings.

Act as Contract Administrator, carrying out site inspections and monitoring contractor performance.

Diagnose defects and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Provide technical advice on electrical compliance, regulations, and industry best practice.

Monitor project progress, budgets, and contractor performance against agreed KPIs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Support the delivery of energy-efficient, sustainable, and low-carbon electrical systems.

About You

You'll have experience in:

Electrical Building Services Engineering

Electrical design and specification

Building maintenance and property services

Contract administration

Site inspections and quality assurance

Electrical compliance and statutory regulations

CAD drawing production

Contractor management

Delivering projects on time and within budget

Experience working within local government, housing, healthcare, education, or commercial property environments would be advantageous, along with knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon building design.
