Location: Bourne End

Start Date: September 2026/ Jan 2027

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time preferred, flexibility available

Salary: MPS–UPS + SEN Allowance

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher who believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive? We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring professional to join our Foundation Stage team, supporting children aged 3–5 years with a range of special educational needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where children can develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning through play.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver creative, child-centred learning experiences that meet the individual needs of pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will use a play-based approach to encourage curiosity, communication, and social development while adapting teaching strategies to ensure every child can achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and the wider school team, you will provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to succeed.

Is energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with young children with additional needs.
Has a caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting every child's individual journey.
Creates engaging and interactive learning experiences through play.
Builds positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Is committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all learners.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Essential Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

SEN School or Specialist Provision
Teaching Assistant (TA) experience within an SEN setting
Mainstream school experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
