We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers to join our team supporting adults aged 18 and over with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Mental Health (MH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life while supporting an individual who is highly independent and enjoys living an active and fulfilling life.
About the Role
You will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing. The individual you will support is very independent and does not require personal care or physical interventions.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting independence and daily living skills.
* Encouraging community engagement and social activities.
* Providing emotional support and promoting positive mental wellbeing.
* Assisting with appointments, shopping, and recreational activities where required.
* Maintaining accurate daily records and communicating effectively with the wider team.
* Promoting dignity, respect, and safeguarding at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience supporting adults (18+) with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs is essential.
* A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good written and verbal English.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends if required.
