Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 DOE
Hours: 37.5 per week
Working Pattern:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 to 17:00
Friday: 08:30 to 14:30

The Opportunity
Ford & Stanley are partnered with a leading rolling stock engineering organisation following continued growth and new contract awards.
As Project Manager, you'll lead rolling stock overhaul and heavy maintenance projects from planning through to completion, ensuring safe, on time and profitable delivery. Working closely with customers and operational teams, you'll play a key role in supporting fleet reliability across the UK rail network.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing rolling stock overhaul and heavy maintenance projects from inception through to completion
Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets and resource forecasts
Translating customer requirements and contractual commitments into achievable delivery programmes
Leading project governance activities, progress reviews and stakeholder meetings
Managing project performance against programme, cost, quality and safety objectives
Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, procurement and commercial functions
Acting as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle
Identifying and mitigating project risks while managing issues, change requests and contract variations
Monitoring project KPIs and preparing regular reports for customers and senior management
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, quality and regulatory requirements
Supporting tender and business development activities where required
Driving continuous improvement and capturing lessons learned to improve future project delivery
What We're Looking For
Essential
Degree qualified in Engineering or hold a recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2)
Proven experience delivering projects within engineering, manufacturing, rail or rolling stock environments
Strong understanding of project governance, planning, budgeting and full project lifecycle delivery
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project costs, risks and performance
Excellent stakeholder management, customer relationship and communication skills
Highly organised with strong planning, problem solving and decision making abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Desirable
Experience managing overhaul, refurbishment or heavy maintenance programmes
IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
Leadership or management qualification (e.g. ILM)
