Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN hub. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive team, making a meaningful difference to the lives of children with complex learning needs.

The Role

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Early finish at 12:30pm every Friday
Supporting a small group of pupils within the school's Resource Base
Working alongside the class teacher and specialist staff to deliver engaging, personalised learning
Providing tailored support to help pupils achieve their individual learning and developmental goals
Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring pupils are supported with dignity and respect
The pupils you will support have a range of additional needs, including:

Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Non-verbal Autism
Complex needs
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
A valid Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification
Experience working within an Early Years setting
Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism and complex needs
Confidence supporting children with personal care requirements
A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs reach their full potential
