Watton
£12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 4:30pm | Friday, 7:30am – 12:30pm
Temporary (with potential for permanent employment)
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Watton that is looking to strengthen its production team. This role is initially to provide cover for a long-term sickness absence, with the opportunity to become a permanent position for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in woodworking, carpentry, joinery, or a similar hands-on trade who enjoys working with tools and producing high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble products using technical drawings and detailed assembly instructions.
Use a variety of hand tools to manufacture products to a high standard.
Apply adhesives using a spray glue gun as part of the production process.
Operate an edge planer where required (training will be provided if needed).
Carry out quality checks throughout the production process.
Pack finished products and prepare them for dispatch.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, joinery, cabinet making, furniture manufacturing, or a similar practical trade.
Confidence using hand tools and measuring equipment.
Good attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
