About the Role
ANZUK Education is partnering with a welcoming and inclusive school in Rainham seeking a compassionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This full-time role offers the rewarding opportunity to provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with diverse learning needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
* Tailored Support: Provide personalised 1:1 or small-group assistance to help pupils access the curriculum.
* Inclusion: Adapt learning materials and activities to ensure they are accessible and engaging for all learners.
* EHCP Implementation: Assist in the delivery and monitoring of targets outlined in pupils' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Wellbeing: Support pupils’ social, emotional, and physical needs, including de-escalation and positive behaviour management.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the SENDCO, class teachers, and external professionals such as speech therapists.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting.
* Demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Be confident in managing challenging behaviours with a calm and resilient attitude.
* Have knowledge of specific SEND conditions or relevant training (e.g., Makaton, PECS, or Team-Teach).
* Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of vulnerable children.
