Electrical Engineer (Production / Manufacturing) – West Midlands – £Competitive + Benefits
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing engineering team based in West Midlands. Working for a well-established manufacturer of electrical control panels, you'll play a key role in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring products are delivered to the highest quality, on time and within budget.
Requirements:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process from design through to production, ensuring accurate engineering documentation is produced while providing technical support across the business.
To be successful, you should have experience in the following:
* Electrical panel design and production engineering
* Design for Manufacture (DFM)
* Producing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
* Electrical design from concept through to production
* Electrical CAD software
* UL508A, EN60204, LVD and EMC standards
* Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen
* Root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Supporting manufacturing and production teams
* Project engineering and production planning
What you'll bring:
* HNC/HND, NVQ Level 4 or Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
* Minimum of 5 years' experience within a production engineering or electrical manufacturing environment
* Experience working with electrical control panels or switchgear manufacturing
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
* Experience mentoring apprentices or junior engineers would be advantageous
