The Opportunity

A market-leading construction and infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Construction Director - Healthcare to play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth of its healthcare division.
With an enviable track record of delivering some of the UK's largest and most complex capital programmes, the organisation continues to invest heavily within the healthcare sector. As a result, they are looking to appoint a strategic leader who can strengthen relationships across the NHS, influence future investment programmes and help secure major healthcare projects nationwide.
This is far more than a conventional business development position. It's an executive leadership opportunity where you'll help shape long-term healthcare strategy, establish trusted partnerships and position the business at the forefront of major capital investment programmes before procurement begins.

The Role

As Construction Director - Healthcare, you'll work closely with the senior leadership team to expand the organisation's presence across the UK healthcare market.
You'll develop and nurture executive-level relationships with NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), NHS England and private healthcare providers, ensuring the business is recognised as the partner of choice for major healthcare infrastructure projects.
Working collaboratively with operational, technical and bid teams, you'll influence strategic opportunities, support successful framework appointments and contribute to the long-term growth of the healthcare business.

Key Responsibilities
Build and strengthen strategic relationships across NHS Trusts, ICSs and wider healthcare organisations.
Identify future capital investment opportunities ahead of formal procurement.
Lead senior client engagement across major healthcare programmes and national frameworks.
Develop tailored client strategies alongside operational and technical leadership teams.
Influence major framework opportunities and healthcare capital investment programmes.
Act as executive sponsor for key healthcare accounts.
Support bid development and contribute to improving overall win performance.
Represent the business at industry conferences, networking events and senior stakeholder meetings.
Provide market insight to help shape future healthcare growth plans. About You

This role will suit an accomplished client-facing leader with an established network across the healthcare sector and a strong understanding of how large-scale public sector construction projects are developed and secured.

Experience influencing major healthcare programmes and long-term capital strategies.
Exposure to frameworks and programmes such as ProCure23, the New Hospital Programme, Hospital 2.0 or similar large-scale public sector initiatives would be highly advantageous. What's in it for You?
