We are recruiting for a passionate and ambitious Registered Service Manager to lead a beautifully furnished, newly developed Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16-18 in Walsall.
This is a unique opportunity to become the founding Registered Manager of a new service, giving you the autonomy to create a positive culture, recruit your own team, and develop an outstanding service that genuinely changes young people's lives.

The Role
As Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and compliance of the service, ensuring young people receive outstanding support as they prepare for adulthood and independent living.
You will:
* Lead the day-to-day operation of the service in line with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.
* Prepare the service for registration and future Ofsted inspections.
* Develop a positive, child-centred and trauma-informed culture.
* Recruit, lead, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team.
* Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of everything the service delivers.
* Complete audits, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement plans.
* Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and outcomes for young people.
* Develop person-centred support plans focused on independence, education, employment and emotional wellbeing.
* Support young people to develop practical life skills including budgeting, cooking, tenancy readiness, health management and positive relationships.
* Build excellent working relationships with Local Authorities, Social Workers, Personal Advisers, education providers, healthcare professionals and other partner agencies.
* Represent the service professionally at placement reviews, commissioning meetings and Ofsted inspections.
* Ensure accurate records, reports and compliance documentation are maintained at all times.

Essential Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, Leadership and Management, or another qualification accepted by Ofsted for Supported Accommodation registration.
* At least 1 year's management experience within Supported Accommodation, Residential Childcare, Leaving Care, Housing Support or a similar regulated setting.
* Minimum 2 years' experience supporting vulnerable young people aged 16-18 or within children's social care.
* Strong understanding of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.
* Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and partnership working.
* Understanding of trauma-informed practice, adolescent development and contextual safeguarding.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop others.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
* Full UK driving licence is desirable.
