As Transport Manager, you'll oversee the operation to ensure smooth and efficient delivery to D2C and B2B customers. Based in North Nottinghamshire, this role plays a vital part in the growth of the business
Client Details
Our client is a well established manufacturing in the North Nottinghamshire area. Based on new leadership they are experiencing sales growth, therefore, are investing to scale the business effectively.
Description
As the Transport Manager you will,
Review and develop the current operation, implementing transport strategies to optimise delivery operations. (from both a cost and service perspective)
Support team development creating a multi-skilled operation and high performing, engaged team
Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and legislation.
Support a TMS re-implementation and upskill the team
Work with the wider teams to understand how the transport function can be a key element of best in class customer serviceProfile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
Proven experience in managing / leading an in-house fleet to support a busy multi drop operation including both B2C and B2B customers
Ability to utilise key business systems, ideally having implemented a TMS
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Understand the end customers needs and create a service that respondsJob Offer
Salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
