PCB Assembly Operator
Location: Waterlooville
Temp to Perm contract
Hours of work: 7:30-4:00 Mon-Thur, 7:30-13:00 Fri
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled PCB Assembly Technician to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, soldering, testing, and inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble electronic components on PCBs using hand tools, soldering irons, and automated equipment (SMT and through-hole)
Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials
Perform hand soldering of fine-pitch components, including surface-mount and through-hole parts
Operate SMT pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, wave soldering equipment, and inspection tools
Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to identify defects or quality issues
Troubleshoot and rework PCBs as necessary
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve assembly processesEssential Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider production team
Capable of prioritizing workload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong communication and numerical skills (written and verbal)Desirable Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a production assembly environment
Soldering experience
