Location: Leeds (Office Based)
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 + Performance Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a leading provider of occupational health, occupational hygiene, and compliance services, helping organisations create safer, healthier workplaces across the UK. As they continue to grow, we're looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join their Leeds-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and making a tangible impact within a growing business operating in the occupational health and hygiene sector.

The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving new business across our portfolio of occupational health and occupational hygiene services. You'll identify prospective clients, develop strong relationships with decision-makers, and work closely with our technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

You'll be responsible for generating new opportunities while nurturing long-term partnerships across industries including manufacturing, construction, engineering, logistics, utilities, and the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
Generate leads through proactive outbound activity, networking, referrals, and market research.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including Health & Safety Managers, Operations Directors, and Procurement teams.
Manage the full sales process from initial contact through to proposal and contract award.
Collaborate with internal occupational health and occupational hygiene specialists to develop bespoke client solutions.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations.
Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM software.
Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Stay informed on industry trends, legislation, and market developments affecting workplace health and compliance.

About You

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, self-motivated, and passionate about developing business in a consultative environment.

You'll ideally have:

Experience in business development, sales, or account management within a B2B environment.
Experience selling occupational health, occupational hygiene, health & safety, compliance, environmental, or technical services is highly desirable.
A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer needs.
Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Good organisational and time management skills.
A proactive, resilient, and results-focused approach.
Full UK driving licence (desirable).
