Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: West London
Rate: £400-£450 per day (Outside IR35)
Are you a skilled quantity surveyor with experience of working for a specialist subcontractor? Then read on.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist subcontractor delivering major projects across the rail and civil engineering infrastructure sector.
This role offers involvement in a long-term, high-value flagship project, with a strong pipeline of future work already secured with the same client. You will also support a significant rail civils design and build project, providing excellent continuity and career development opportunities.
The Role:
Working closely with key stakeholders and project delivery teams, you will manage multiple projects from inception through to final account, taking full commercial ownership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing projects from pre-contract stage through to completion and final accounts
Pricing and commercial management of smaller works packages
NEC3 contract administration
Preparation and management of CVRs
Commercial oversight of self-delivery projects
Supporting project managers with the commercial management of complex work packages
Managing client relationships and ensuring commercial objectives are achieved
Identifying opportunities, managing risk, and driving project profitability
About You:
We are looking for a commercially astute and client-focused professional who enjoys building strong relationships and driving successful project outcomes.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within rail, civils, infrastructure, or construction
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly NEC3
Experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle
Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
Ability to operate independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
A proactive approach to problem-solving and commercial management
