Day rate: £450 per day (approximate)
Location: International (flexibility to travel globally)
Are you experienced in delivering independent health and safety reviews across diverse international settings?
Do you thrive in a consultancy role, providing pragmatic advice that leads to real operational improvements?
We are supporting a global organisation in the education sector to find a Health and Safety Consultant to support their international review programme. This role involves assessing health and safety arrangements across multiple schools worldwide, using established review methodologies, audit frameworks, and reporting standards.
Please note: This role offers approximately 30-40 consultancy days per annum rather than guaranteed weekly work. Assignments are delivered in flexible blocks and may require overseas travel for periods of up to 2-3 weeks.
You will:
Conduct independent health and safety reviews at various schools across different countries
Apply organisational audit methodology consistently across all sites
Evaluate health and safety compliance against local legislation and best practice
Produce clear, practical reports with proportionate recommendations for improvement
Build positive relationships with school leadership teams and key stakeholdersThe ideal candidate will have:
Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent professional status
A Level 6 NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in health and safety
Extensive experience in health and safety consultancy, ideally within international or complex environments
Ability to interpret legislative frameworks across different jurisdictions and work independently across multiple locationsThis is an excellent opportunity to work on a flexible, long-term consultancy basis supporting a globally recognised organisation committed to continuous safety improvement in the education sector.
