As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of our resident buildings, ensuring a comfortable and secure living environment for our residents.
In this role, you'll take on a variety of responsibilities, including:
Reactive Maintenance
Scheduled Maintenance
General upkeepYou will collaborate closely with the customer support team to ensure residents have a pleasant experience, by delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance
Day-to-day management of reactive and preventative maintenance.
Identifying and rectifying resident maintenance issues, e.g. unblocking sinks and showers, 'making good' damaged paintwork.
Ensuring a secure, comfortable, and safe environment. Taking pride in the appearance of the property.
Carrying out checks and building walks, logging all observations on a company iPad.
Inspecting the risers, communal areas, the powerhouse, and the plant room.
Supporting Residents
Working with colleagues from the Customer and Night Teams to achieve the best results and solutions for residents, 24/7.
Respectful of people's privacy and personal information - full training on all aspects of GDPR is provided.
Providing excellent customer service.
Learning about the different processes used to keep residents and colleagues safe.
Being Part of the Team
Working with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to ensure maintenance records and property documentation files are accurate and up to date.
Joining in and speaking up, making a constructive contribution at monthly team meetings.
Supporting the onboarding of new colleagues into the team, answering questions and sharing knowledge.
Carrying out specific training to help develop new skills, including full training on bespoke IT resident reporting systems and processes.
Dealing with issues or incidents and calling the emergency services when needed.
Assisting on-site contractors to ensure completion of work and maintenance of health and safety procedures.
Understanding the importance of Health & Safety and Fire Safety in all that you do, and reporting anything that is not safe.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week / 7.5 hours per day, 5 days over 7, including bank holidays and weekends. Rota'd between 7:30-20:00.
Uniform provided.
An enhanced DBS check will be required, as the role involves providing living accommodation for residents under 18, in line with safeguarding commitments.
