Location: Blackpool, Lancashire
Salary: £48,000+ per annum

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager to join a leading manufacturing business based in Blackpool.
This is a key role responsible for leading SHE standards across the site, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, improving safety culture, and driving environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Working closely with operational teams and senior leadership, you will provide expert SHE guidance, maintain effective management systems, and deliver continuous improvement across safety, environmental performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Health, Safety & Environmental compliance across the site.
* Develop and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
* Manage risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
* Monitor legislative changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
* Lead environmental initiatives, including EPR compliance, reporting, and sustainability improvements.
* Analyse SHE performance data and implement improvement plans.
* Deliver training, coaching, and support to managers and employees.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience working in a SHE Manager or similar Health & Safety and Environmental role.
* Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
* Experience managing audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and SHE reporting.
* Proven experience managing packaging compliance requirements is essential.
* Experience collecting, validating, and submitting packaging data to regulatory bodies.
* Ability to ensure accurate and timely environmental reporting in line with statutory requirements.
* Experience managing supplier compliance documentation and environmental records.
* Knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations and packaging compliance.
* Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
* Environmental Management qualification (IEMA or equivalent)
* Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, or packaging-related industries would be highly desirable.
Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, or wider manufacturing environments would be highly desirable, along with knowledge of EPR regulations and environmental management.
