About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to a CEO while leading a team of three Executive Assistants. This is a pivotal role for a proactive and highly organised professional who can confidently manage complex priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and ensure the smooth running of executive operations.

As a trusted partner to the CEO, you will oversee complex diary and travel management, handle sensitive communications, coordinate key business activities, and play a central role in supporting leadership teams. You will also drive excellence across the EA function, developing best practices and leading the delivery of important internal events.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

Manage a complex and demanding executive diary and travel schedule.
Handle confidential communications and correspondence with discretion.
Prepare presentations, board papers, meeting packs, and briefing documents.
Act as a key liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.

Strategic Support

Provide concise briefings and relevant information to support decision-making.
Track actions and initiatives driven by the CEO and leadership team.
Support senior leadership meetings and wider business activities.

Event Management

Lead the planning and delivery of major internal events and leadership sessions.
Ensure a consistent, professional, and engaging experience for attendees.
Coordinate logistics and stakeholder engagement from concept to delivery.

Operational Excellence

Manage executive expenses, governance documentation, and administrative processes.
Identify and implement efficiencies to improve ways of working.
Ensure high levels of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Executive Assistants.
Establish service standards and promote best practice across the EA function.
Support continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements

We would love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

Proven experience supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Experience leading or developing an Executive Assistant function.
A track record of improving processes, standards, and ways of working.
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Confidence working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Previous people management or team leadership experience.
Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Commercial awareness and sound business judgement.
