An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Planner to join a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the UK. This is a fantastic role for an ambitious planning professional looking to take the next step within a collaborative and commercially focused environment.
Working as part of an established planning team, you will lead on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, strategic land and regeneration schemes throughout Wales and the wider UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering planning strategies and supporting the continued growth of the Cardiff office.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a wide range of planning applications and appeals
Providing strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders
Preparing planning appraisals, representations and policy submissions
Leading client meetings and project teams
Mentoring junior planners and contributing to team development
Supporting business development activities and networking initiativesRequirements:
MRTPI qualified
Proven experience within either consultancy or local authority planning
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively within a team
