Network Specialist (Systems & Network Engineer)
South West London
£55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
Office-based for the first 6 months, moving to a hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 from home) following probation.
Are you an experienced Network Engineer looking for an opportunity to take ownership of enterprise infrastructure and play a key role in large-scale transformation projects?
We are working with an established organisation that is investing heavily in its network, infrastructure and cyber security capabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead enterprise networking projects, modernise infrastructure and work on business-critical connectivity across multiple sites.
What youll be doing:
Design and implement enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and SD-WAN solutions
Own firewall architecture, network segmentation and secure connectivity
Lead network upgrades across multiple sites with minimal business disruption
Deliver infrastructure integration and migration projects
Strengthen cyber security through vulnerability management, penetration testing remediation and security best practice
Provide 2nd/3rd line technical expertise for complex infrastructure issues
Work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors
Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient and aligned with enterprise standards
What we are looking for:
4+ years’ experience in Network or Infrastructure Engineering
Strong enterprise networking experience including LAN, WAN, VLANs, VPNs and Wi-Fi
Experience with firewalls and network security technologies
Solid understanding of cyber security, vulnerability management and penetration testing principles
Experience delivering infrastructure or networking projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Exposure to Azure infrastructure or cloud networking is desirable
Desirable
CCNA, CCNP, Network+ or Azure certifications
Experience within healthcare or NHS environments
Knowledge of HSCN connectivity
Experience supporting EMR/EHR platforms or large infrastructure migration programmes
