Due to continued growth, a well-established and technically focused plastics manufacturer with over 75 years of industry success, is looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join its skilled production team
Specialising in a wide range of injection moulding processes, the company continues to invest in its manufacturing facilities, technology, and people, making this an excellent opportunity to join a stable and forward-thinking business.
Up to £40,000, days Monday-Friday (with early finish on Friday)
As an Injection Moulding Setter, you will be responsible for ensuring production runs efficiently by carrying out machine and tool changes, optimising processes, and maintaining high-quality standards while minimising downtime and scrap.
As an Injection Moulding Setter, you will carry out the following tasks:
Carry out tool changes and machine setting on injection moulding machines.
Optimise and troubleshoot moulding processes to maximise productivity.
Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specification.
Assist with new tool trials and process development.
Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing.
To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Setter, Moulding Technician, or similar role within plastics manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of plastic materials and processing parameters.
Experience of condition setting, process optimisation, and fault finding.
The ability to troubleshoot moulding defects and resolve processing issues.
A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
