What will you do? Make an impact!

Tradebe is seeking to add an electrical apprentice to our team in Heysham. Responsible for supporting qualified electricians with the installation, repair, and upkeep of electrical systems. In this role, you'll develop the ability to interpret blueprints, run and secure wiring, and connect a variety of electrical components. You'll also be required to adhere to all safety standards and regulations while working on active job sites.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in electrical installation - Support electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment across residential, commercial, or industrial sites.

Interpret technical documents - Learn to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to support accurate project execution.

Install electrical components - Help with fitting switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical devices under supervision.

Use tools safely - Develop proficiency with hand and power tools required for electrical work, ensuring proper handling and care.

Test and troubleshoot systems - Assist in diagnosing issues, performing tests, and identifying faults in electrical systems and equipment.

Follow safety standards - Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with industry regulations, codes, and company policies.

Maintain work areas - Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Communicate with the team - Work effectively with electricians, apprentices, and supervisors to support smooth project operations.

Develop trade skills - Continuously build knowledge and hands‑on skills as you progress through the electrical apprenticeship program.

Demonstrate the required mechanical, numerical and verbal reasoning to undertake an apprenticeship.
Demonstrable curiosity and willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of electrical theory and principles.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures.
