Principal Civil Engineer/ Discipline Head
Manchester - Hybrid
Perm: £65,000-£80,000 DOE or Contract: £450-£550/day (Outside IR35)
Advance TRS is delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Civil Principal Engineer / Discipline Head to join their expanding water team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Civil Engineer to take on a senior technical leadership role, leading the Civil discipline across a range of major UK water infrastructure projects while influencing engineering standards, mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead civil engineering design across clean and wastewater projects.
Provide technical leadership and design assurance.
Review and approve calculations, reports and engineering deliverables.
Mentor and develop engineers, graduates and technicians.
Drive engineering standards, quality and continuous improvement.
Support bids, resource planning and framework delivery.
About You
10+ years' design experience within the regulated UK water sector.
Strong experience across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Expertise in hydraulic calculations and detailed design.
Previous experience leading engineering teams or acting as a technical authority.
A passion for mentoring others and delivering engineering excellence.
Current Projects
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of UK water projects, including:
UMON 3 & 4 sewage treatment upgrades.
Clean water main replacement schemes.
CSO upgrades and storm storage projects.
Long-term framework projects for major UK water companies.What's on Offer?
