Start Building Your Estimating Career
If you've already gained some estimating experience and want to develop your career with a specialist contractor, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
You'll be joining the pre-construction team of a growing demolition contractor, working alongside experienced estimators on a wide range of demolition, enabling works, groundworks and structural refurbishment projects. With plenty of support, structured training and genuine career progression, this role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step.
Why Join This Business?
This is a company that's built an excellent reputation for delivering technically challenging demolition and enabling works across London and the UK.
As the business continues to grow, they're investing heavily in their people. You'll be joining an experienced team that encourages collaboration, shares knowledge and gives junior staff the opportunity to develop into well-rounded construction professionals.
Rather than simply pricing projects, you'll gain exposure to the full tender process and play an important role in winning work across a varied portfolio of schemes.
The Role
Working closely with the estimating team, you'll support the preparation of competitive tenders while developing your technical and commercial knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with tenders for demolition, groundworks, enabling works and structural refurbishment projects.
Preparing estimates and analysing project information.
Working alongside senior estimators to produce competitive submissions.
Supporting projects ranging from approximately £1m to £10m in value.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations.
Developing your understanding of specialist demolition and heavy construction techniques.
Contributing to a collaborative pre-construction team where your ideas and input are valued. Who They're Looking
For This opportunity would suit an Assistant Estimator who is ambitious, eager to learn and looking for long-term career progression.
You'll ideally have:
Between 2 and 4 years' estimating experience within the construction industry.
Experience in demolition, groundworks or enabling works would be advantageous, although applicants from any construction background will be considered.
Good commercial awareness and strong numerical skills.
A proactive attitude and willingness to develop.
A degree in Quantity Surveying or an engineering-related discipline would be beneficial but isn't essential. The Package
In return, you'll receive:
£35,000 - £55,000 basic salary depending on experience.
Travel allowance.
Private healthcare.
Pension scheme.
Annual performance bonus.
25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays.
Flexible working arrangements.
Ongoing mentoring, training and clear opportunities for progression. Ready to Find Out More? Applying couldn't be easier.
