Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Process Technician to join the team at The Mond Nickel Refinery in Swansea, one of the world's leading nickel refineries owned and operated by Vale Europe.
Vale Europe is part of one of the world's largest mining companies, with operations across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the USA.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in a manufacturing, production, process, or industrial environment to join a global organisation offering full training, excellent benefits, and genuine long-term career progression.
Key Duties
Operate and monitor process plant and production equipment.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and product quality.
Carry out basic maintenance and equipment checks.
Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
Operate FLT and other plant machinery where required.
Respond to operational issues using initiative and problem-solving skills.
Work collaboratively to ensure production targets are achieved.
Provide flexibility to cover overtime and call-outs when required.
Requirements
Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, process, or industrial environment.
Experience working with powdered metals is desirable.
Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work.
Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
Committed to maintaining excellent health and safety standards.
Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment.
Experience of 5S or continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
FLT licence or previous forklift experience would be advantageous.

Basic salary of £33,435, rising to £36,221 following competency sign-off.
£5,391 annual shift allowance.
