Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer (Nights)
Location:
Network Rail Stations – Central London
Working Pattern:
* Sunday to Thursday nights
* Permanent, long-term works
Rate of Pay:
£260-£280 per shift
Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, fault finding and handover of fire detection and alarm systems across Network Rail stations, working primarily on:
* Morley IAS
* AEL fire alarm systems
Reporting to a Project Manager, the role includes commissioning activities, technical testing, certification, client liaison, progress reporting and ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with BS 5839-1 and Hawk-Fire procedures.
Essential Experience
Applicants should ideally have:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in fire alarm commissioning.
* Strong knowledge of Morley IAS and AEL fire alarm systems.
* Experience working within live, operational environments (Network Rail experience desirable).
* Good fault-finding and commissioning abilities.
* Ability to work independently whilst maintaining excellent communication with the project team.
Preferred Qualifications
* FIA BS 5839 certification
* CSCS Card
* SSSTS (desirable)
* PASMA / IPAF (desirable)
* First Aid at Work (desirable)
* Experience with addressable fire alarm systems and associated commissioning documentation.
