Technical Quality Manager

Annual Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Job Type: Permanent, Full-timeWe are excited to offer an opportunity for a Technical Quality Manager to join our team at a state-of-the-art production facility in Buxton, Derbyshire. This role is pivotal in overseeing all quality systems and laboratory operations, ensuring food safety and compliance, and fostering a culture of zero defects across all functions.

Day-to-day of the role:

Leadership and People Management: Lead the Quality Assurance (QA) department, developing competencies and promoting a zero-defect mindset to enhance quality performance.
Quality System Management: Oversee and enforce all quality requirements, ensuring compliance with internal standards and leading quality process reviews.
Laboratory Operations: Manage the factory laboratory, including personnel training and equipment maintenance, to deliver consistent and accurate results.
Hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Ensure adherence to hygienic practices and GMP within the factory, including verification of cleaning systems.
Food Safety Oversight: Lead food safety and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) teams to effectively manage and mitigate food safety risks.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Support the factory's Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process by monitoring key quality parameters and driving continuous improvement efforts.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
Quality Assurance Experience: Proven background in quality assurance within a food or beverage manufacturing environment, including QA auditing and quality system management.
Product Development Knowledge: Experience in new product introduction and applying continuous improvement tools.
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of microbiological testing, food technology, and hygiene practices relevant to quality management.
Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to motivate, influence, and coach team members, with experience in line management.Benefits:
