Ceto Talent is recruiting for a Mechanical Operations Assistant to join a busy engineering team supporting maintenance, assembly and operational activities within a highly technical environment.
This is a practical, hands-on role working alongside Mechanical Technicians and Fitters, supporting the upkeep, improvement and installation of specialist equipment.
About You
* Experience within a mechanical, electrical, industrial or engineering environment.
* Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
* Experience working to Method Statements or Safe Systems of Work.
* Comfortable carrying out hands-on engineering and maintenance support activities.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent IT skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting Mechanical Technicians and Fitters with maintenance and modification activities.
* Assisting with assembly, installation and engineering support tasks.
* Moving, storing and managing materials and equipment safely.
* Maintaining clean, organised and safe work areas.
* Carrying out routine checks on tools and equipment.
* Supporting testing, maintenance and documentation activities.
* Liaising with other teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Following site safety procedures and reporting hazards.
Desirable
* Experience within engineering workshops, industrial facilities or construction environments.
* Exposure to maintenance, assembly or mechanical fitting activities.
* Experience handling engineering materials, tools and equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical engineering background looking to join a long-term project and develop their experience within a specialist technical environment.
