Biomedical Scientist (BMS) - Clinisys WinPath Testing Specialist

Location: London (Hybrid/On-site as required)
Job Type: Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist (BMS) with proven expertise in Clinisys WinPath testing to support a major NHS programme delivered by a leading consultancy in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful testing, validation, and implementation of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) within NHS pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document testing activities for Clinisys WinPath.
  • Develop and perform functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate laboratory workflows, pathology processes, and system configurations.
  • Identify, log, track, and support the resolution of defects.
  • Work closely with laboratory users, clinicians, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure testing complies with NHS standards, laboratory quality requirements, and project governance.
  • Produce clear test scripts, test evidence, defect reports, and completion documentation.
  • Support deployment activities, system go-live, and post-implementation testing where required.

Essential Requirements

  • Biomedical Scientist (BMS) background.
  • Significant experience working within NHS pathology laboratories.
  • Proven hands-on experience testing Clinisys WinPath.
  • Strong understanding of pathology laboratory workflows.
  • Experience creating and executing test scripts and test plans.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and clinical stakeholders.
