1:1 Teaching Assistant

We're searching for a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southmead. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting one child to grow in confidence, develop independence and enjoy learning every step of the way.

What you'll be doing

Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
Delivering personalised learning activities that help the child access the curriculum
Building a positive, trusting relationship that encourages confidence and independence
Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals and families to provide consistent support
Creating a calm, inclusive and encouraging learning environment where every success is celebrated

We're looking for someone who

Has experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
Is patient, empathetic and committed to helping every child succeed
Communicates confidently and enjoys working as part of a supportive team
Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning needs
Has relevant qualifications in education or SEND, although these are desirable rather than essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
