SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Stockport - September Start
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Stockport on a full-time basis from September.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to deliver tailored support throughout the school day.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Experience working with pupils with Autism (ASC) and/or ADHD
A calm, patient and nurturing approach to behaviour and learning
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Team Teach training is highly desirable, although not essentialThe role offers:
A full-time position starting in September
A supportive and inclusive primary school environment
